Privacy & Data Policy

What we collect

We collect only what running a small furniture business requires:

• Order and contact information — your name, email, phone, billing and shipping address, and the details of your transactions and order fulfillment.
• Messages you send us — through the contact form, an interest registration, email, or phone.
• Payment details, which go directly to our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
• Standard browsing information your browser sends every site — IP address, browser type and language, access times, referring site — plus the pages you view and links you click, collected through cookies and similar technologies described below.

How we use it

We use your information to:

• Build, ship, and deliver your order, give you shipping quotes, and handle billing.
• Answer your questions and keep records of our conversations.
• Send the occasional note from the shop — only if you signed up, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe that works. We never send unsolicited email beyond your account and order information, and we don’t sell, lease, or rent our email list.
• Manage the website, understand which pages are useful, and improve our services.
• Prevent fraud, enforce our agreements, and meet legal and tax requirements.

Visitor identification and marketing

We use a visitor-identification service (RB2B) that may use cookies to connect your visit with contact information — like an email address — that its data partners already have about you, so we can follow up with people who seem interested. This applies only to visitors in the United States.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies: ones that keep your session working, basic analytics, and the identification cookies above. A consent banner appears where the law requires one, your browser can block or clear cookies at any time, and we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) opt-out signals. Blocking cookies may keep parts of the site from working correctly.

Who else sees it

We share information only with the service providers it takes to serve you — payment processing, order fulfillment, freight and delivery, email, website hosting and backups, accounting and legal services, and the visitor-identification service above — and only as needed for them to do that work.

When the law requires it

We may disclose personal information when we believe in good faith it’s required or appropriate: to comply with the law, a court order, or a subpoena; to cooperate with law enforcement; to protect our legal rights or our customers’; or for fraud protection. If the business is ever sold or reorganized, customer records may transfer with it under this same policy.

A note on “selling” data

Under some state privacy laws, the visitor-identification described above may count as “selling” or “sharing” personal information. We do not sell your order history or contact details to anyone, and you can opt out at any time using the link above or by emailing us.

Security

We keep your information in a secure environment that isn’t available to the public, and payment details never touch our own systems. No one can honestly guarantee complete security, though — if you ever believe your information has been compromised, tell us immediately and we’ll act on it.

Your rights

Wherever you live, we extend the same courtesies: you can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, get a copy of it, and opt out of targeted advertising or any sale or sharing of your information. Email hello@amishbillt.com and Molly will handle it — we may need to verify it’s you, and we’ll respond within 45 days.

If we decline a request and you disagree, reply and tell us — we’ll take a second look and explain our answer. You may also contact your state Attorney General.

California and Nevada residents

California residents have rights under the CCPA and the “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code §1798.83) to ask about disclosure of personal information to third parties for direct marketing, and to request access to or deletion of their information — email us and we’ll cooperate fully.

Nevada residents may direct us not to sell their personal information under NRS §603A. Email hello@amishbillt.com with “Nevada opt-out” and consider it done.

How long we keep it

• Order and invoice records: about seven years, for tax and warranty purposes.
• Messages: as long as they’re useful for helping you, then deleted.
• Newsletter address: until you unsubscribe.
• Website and identification data: per the retention periods of the vendors above; we do not keep our own copy.

Children

Our site sells furniture and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13; if you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes and acceptance

If we change this policy, we’ll post the update here with a new date, and if the change is material we’ll say so with a notice on the home page — no silent edits. Changes take effect when posted, so check back now and then.

By using this site, you accept this policy. If you don’t agree with it, please don’t use the site — though we’d rather you just write us and tell us what’s bothering you.
